A very forge meeting last night almost unaiiraoasty passed a resolution moved by^ Mv Wynn Williann, late Provincial' Secretary, to ije effect that the pioposals , porr'-aine^ yi the Government Abol'tion , Bill would be conducive of great and i lasting benefit to the colony. ; . t> j An amendment in. favor of first swfl ir it /.ng the 'measure to the people of the' Colony c was received with mingled cheerf but \7as negatived. >M A re^lution was then proposed by JW\ §aynde?s. late Superintendent of JNelsdft to ije effect th»t, while the/meeling woul4 offer no impadimenfc to' the abolition 6f tb»;jfttov:3ces, the I*.would avoid any et» pression of approbation, of the ;de tails of, the Government measures, especially $« regards nominated for elected Superintendent, and plurality of voting to" pvopei'ty holders. This motion was negatived by a large majority.. ',
