No. 21.-APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. * Waiden'a Office, Thamrs, July 29, 1875. A PPLICAIION lias been ir.'ado by James J\. " Liddkli,, for a LICENSE to construct a Water Boca for nvni.ng purposes, commencing at a point on the fourth branch of the Tairua River, indicated by ft peg marked L, about four hundred feet above the southern boundary of the Consolation Claim, ar-d terminating at a point, denoled by a peg marked L, about two hundred feet below the norihern boundary of the paid claim. The length of such Race is four hundred yards or thereabouts, and i's intended couree is north and south. The ir.eah breadth and depth of such Eace is six feet by four feet, and it is capablo of carrying five sluice-heads of water. The number of eluiee-hcads of forly inches each which it is proposed fo appropriate^ii five, and the land required for such Rice is sixtysix feet oneach pide of the centre oi the said Kace. NOTICE is therefore given, I hat on the 7th day of September, 1875, a License mny be granted to the faid James Liddeii, for the above-described Water Eace, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that dale. No. 20.-APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER BACE. - Warden's Office, Thames, July 29, 1875; A PPLICATION has been mado by I A ' Wameb Sued* for a LICENSE to construct a Water Bace for mining purposes, • commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked X, about three hundred tnd fifty yards above Rule Britannia whaiv, and terminating at a point one hundred yards belowjunction of Rule Britannia Creek with fourth left hand creek, of fourth branch of Tairua River. The length of suck Race is a mile and a half or Ihereabouts, and its intended course is east by north. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet six inches by fifteen incbes, and it is capable of carrying three sluice-heads of wnier. The number of sluice-keads of forty inches'" each ■which ir. is intended to appropriate is three, and the land required for guch Race is sixtysix feet on each fide of the centre of the said Race.
