BRIGHT SMILE.

A rich patch of specimens, 100 lbs, was brought to the surface by Mr Benney, the manager, who obtained them from the first rise or stope on the lode known as the shaft lode, worked on the 350 feet level. The reef is about 4 feet wide, and the run of visible gold shows freely for 6 inches wide. The specimens are the best that have been met with for months, in fact, the best that have been, obtained from the 350 level, and go far to prove the goldbearing character of the reefs in this locality at great depths. The shaft lode is now being stoped out seaward 35 feet from the winding shaft.
