General Notices VT X W ZEALAND. GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSUBANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed hy tlie Colony. Parti* cipation in Profits is authorised by.the Legis* lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower than thoie of Private Companies. • 3—No Policy or Medical Pees tharged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, .under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy it ex* hausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, n paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premium! paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and re«ideoce. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Polioy effected by the Insured, Imafide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency lnws to a certaia amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, offer it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200j after five years, to £500; after seven y*ars, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies.—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife , and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lets than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will, 11—Probate, Sec, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, tbe Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured.
