General Notices T^EW Z E.ALAND. GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance DeXDartment Ibsucb all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed, by the Colony. Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Pees .charged. ; 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, | until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions n» to travelling and residence, B—Policiesproteeted from Bankruptcy—rAn Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, hmafide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured." 9 —Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; .and.their Policies, are protected-from the debts of their husbands, according to dura-, tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies. —Policies effected- for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the' claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lets than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the tifite, it can be subsequently made by wiil.. - - . Jll— Probate, die., dispensed with' —When a claim ukder a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production^ Probate or Letters of Administration, thus-saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. ,W.
