UPPER SEALEY STREET.
To the Editor of the Evening Star. Sir, —I wish through your columns to draw the attention of some member oranother of the Board, whose particular province it is to look after our roads besides the collection of rates, for -which before mentioned purpose we are supposed to pay them, to the state of Upper Seaiey street and thenewcutacrossTerrace street, which are simply a disgract to any civilized community; in fact, an impassable, slough of despond, and an effectual bar* rier to all traffic to this populous upper part of the Board's jurisdiction. As for ladies and children attempting to cross, it would be actually a dangerous feat, as they or their children would stand a good chance of being smothered or fall into the creek intersecting the road.
A few, loads of the driving metal from the Una drive, at a comparatively Bmall^£. expense could be had, and this eye-sore *^ and nuisance mitigated, and at least mffljfc.' passable.—l am, &c, . . r ABatipatm. ' (For himself and others.)
