A benefit* in-aid of the funds of the Thames Hospital will be given this evening by the Cricketers' Dramatic Club, who^will play r"-London Assurance," a much admired comedy in five Of the' merits of the amateurs comprising; this Club we have previeusly "spoken in terms of, the: highest commendation, and it will, therefore, be quite unnecessary to say anything further here on that subject; but it.may be mentioned that the Club had 'a dress rehearsal last night, on the Academy stage, and that tho dramatis persons • were capitally impersonated, each of the amateur act'or3 and actresses being letter perfect in their parts, and displaying a knowledge of ''.business," which amply testified to the careful study

A special feature in the entertainment will be the performance of the duet " Sainted Mother," from Maritana, by Misses Wiseman and ''Hunteri''-'-?ThS'/-':Scdttish :sßand': t'K'ave"'" Jarsb'' tendered their services on the occasion.
