MINING COMPANY MEETINGS.

Gem G.M.Co. (TaibtjaO •A meeting of; shareholders of the Gem was held last night, when it was decided to form a company with a capital of £5000 in 10,000 shares of 10s each. Mr E. Macdonald Scott was elected legal manager. .Messrs S. Browning, W. C. Wilson, J.H. Fryer, J. Cook and J. D. Wickham were appointed directors. National'G.M.Co. (Taieua). A meeting of this company* shareholders was held last night, Mr D. Macnab in > the chair. Mr Scott Hunter was appointed mine manager, .and instructed to commence active operations on the company's property at once. Sandhurst G.M.Co. (Taietja). The claim at Tairua originally known as Scanlan's has been formed into a company under the name x>f the Sandhurst ; Goldmining Company. A meeting of shareholders; was held on Saturday evening, when it was decided to commence active operations at once. Mr Scanlan,; after whom the claim was first named, was appointed mine manager, and proceeds to Tairua to-day to assume charge of the; works. Mr D. G. MacDonnell is the lefeal manager of the company. The: ground is considered to he well situated for some of the best Tairua reefs.
