THE CURE.

The Cure Company had a retorting at the Tararu battery on Saturday night, which scarcely came up to expectations, the amalgam "hosing" considerably. From 1700 ounces of amalgam put into the crucible, 294 ounces of j;old were taken out. Perhaps those deeply interested in the Cure mine were not justified in expecting moro, inasmuch as the return is a very good .one, the stamps only having been engaged for nine days, and during that time no specimens or picked stuff were crushed. Judging from .the number of pounds of picked stone and specimens which have come to hnnd of late, there should be a pretty considerable parcel accumulated at present.
