WAIOTAHI ASSOCIATION.
The return foi^the month's crushing amounts to 137 ozs. 3 dw(s. of gold, lodged in the Bank of New Zealand this morning. Properly speaking, it should not be called a month's crushing, inasmuch, as the battery has not been employed during .the four weeks, and under any circumstances it only works during the day time. These facts being taken into consideration, the return, must be looked upon as eminently satisfactory. The chief portion of the dirt put through came from the Manukau lode, which is being worked from No. 2 shaft, but it appears to bo of an inferior grade, and the crushing would not have turned out so well had it not been for the stone from the footwall leaders in the bottom level.,
