Over a week ago the tributers retorted the amalgam got from the specimens, about 70 lbs, which gave a hand-, some return of 105 ozs gold. It is to be hoped that the general stuff will'give a commensurate, or more properly speaking a proportionate return. There are only two in the tribute, and HUich tip-hill
work has been done ; in.fact,, the returns up to the present have not compensated the tributers for their labor and outlay of money.
