-' - ' June 17: " The new Government have enunciated a vigorous policy;l which includes borrowing two millions for railway and harbour works, and the expenditure of £100,000 on immigration. If taxation is necessary, it should be direct, but the tariff will be altered in the' direction of free trade. A motion for payment of members was negatived. Tho Ministerial policy is generally agreeable.
