THE UNA.
Last week I noticed the progress made in driving past the reef cut in'the low level tunnel ;now, I loam from Mr Day; that 15 feet having been worked out without any signs of the reef which wa3 fancied to exist further on,' driving has been discontinued. The theory of another, reef—that for which they were looking— being further ahead than the one. to hand having exploded, the company will now turn their attention to,working on the lode reached. , Opening out is to be commenced at once, and the reef- will be followed up in both directions. At present it is somewhat split up by interJaminatiohs of mullock, and a horse about five feet wide-has severed tho main body, but this horse will doubtless give out as the reef is driven on, and something more defined occur in the general aspect of the reef.
