LONG DRIVE.
A general cleaning up for tho month has taken place, at the Moanatairi Battery for the Long Drive Company. The specimens were" treated yesterday, but the general return was not to hand in time for the Star's publication; they retorted late this afternoon. There'were 593 <ozs of amalgam, which is expected to give about 240 ozs. The reason to be assigned for the cleaning for May encroaching so far into the month of June is, that the battery, was hung,up for a week to overhaul the ; bbilißrs, etc., arid thus a delay was caused.'
