I—The Government Life Insur-ance-Department issues all. .desirable forms of Policies. 'The'^Payment-^if-every Policy is guaranteed by tlie Colony. Participation in Profits isauthofieed by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. • ■ :. '■'.-".» ry *;mC-'j r\ 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged: ■ >-■>•'■ •■ •■ > '•• - ■•» 4—AH Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full, extent of their value, under a; special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every, Policy,for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhaußtod in payment of .premiums..,. . • s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value-of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums ; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to . the .'premiums paid, and often much in excess. > ■ ' 6—Thirty days of grace we allowed on all Renewal Premiums. ,7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and residonce.' B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. — An Insurance Policy effected' by the Insured/ •b»nafide!pn his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a" certain amount,- fwhich increases with its duration. ■ Thus,-after-ifc has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to' £500 j after seven years, to £1000 ; after ten -years, to £2000. This protection applies .only.in favour' of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dispose.of the money by will-, as if single; and their Policies -are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above, 10—Settlement Policies- —Policies effected for the benefit of the' wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the , claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life,* or any period'not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. ■ . , ■ - r 11—Probate, &e,,'dispensed with —When a ckim under a Policy does not exceed £200; the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. r W.
