Waitekattbi, June 2, 1875.

There was a full attendance of shareholders jof nearly all the claims, up hero to-night on the Golden Point claim, to take into consideration the desirability of objecting to R. Bleazard's application for water right and machine site, on the ground that, he had no interest up here, and that the miners would not have any confidence in any machinery that he might be connected with. The meeting was very unanimous, and all hands signed the objections. At the conclusion of the meeting, and just as everybody was saying good-night, two good-looking dogs that had been growling at one another all the evening, finished up by having a fight; but there wasn't much damage done, as they "fell into a lot of sludge from the Golden Point tip, and got half smothered.

The Golden Crown struck the reef this morning with, gold visible in the Btone. They are not far into it y©t, and it's a compact looking body of stone. Tho Golden Point boy 3 are hard at work cutting out a large paddock for quartz. The Queen of Beauty have started a low level and expect to cut the reef in about a fortnight.
