A meeting bf the sub-committee ap- -, pointed to enquire into matters connected with the Miners' Accident JMief Fund ■was hold on Saturday evening in the Governor Bowen Hotel. The Secretary, Mr'Fred.F. Day, submitted a report of the transactions of the Fund since its inauguration, and this report will be submitted to the meeting to be held in the Warden's Court this evening, and which we.trust to see well attended ,by. subscribers and intending subscribers as well as by the committee. We would draw attention to the fact' that the annual licensing meeting will be held in the Court House, ShorUand; tomorrow, when the licenses, old and new. and transfers of licenses, will be granted or otherwise. There are in all about eighty-seven cases to be disposed of, and there are several objections. Gents' Clothes and every description of Djeing and Cleaning done on the shortest possible notice, at the Thames Dyeing Establishment, corner of Rolleston and Richmond itreets.—Advt.
