The usual fortnighly meeting of the Thames Borough Council will be hold this evening.
A PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE published on Tuesday contains correspon* dence with the Hon. the Colonial Sccro tary relative to exhibits for the proposed. Philadelphia exhibition;; list of additional licenses to%ill game issued, making the number": 200; and notice of claims by Maorjes to eertsin land to be considered by the Native Lands Court.
In a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of May 14th appears the report and returns from Colonel W. C. Lyon showing the result of the Prize Firing at the Thames, 1875. In the report Colonel Lyon says—" The arrangements of Mr Curtis, mess caterer, were in every way admirable. The supply of provisions was ample and good, so that on the score of commissariat every satisfaction pppears to have been given." ■ '
