The Tokatea manager reports nothing of importance. 175 tons quartz have been
sent to Bennett's battery, and is likely to bo finished to-morrow. A payable yield is expected. Gold is seen in the Siege of Paris level; also specimens of gold have been obtained from the tribute leader.*
Peter's claim has finished the trial crushing' but the yield is poor. The City of Auckland have a small parcel ef specimens. The cutter has arrived with cattle. She sailed again this morning.
