Office of the fominissioher of Stamp Duties, • -. Wellington,-Apri126,1875. > THE following Notice under the Stamp Duties Act, which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 13tlr May, 1869, is re-~ published for general information :— : CHAPIiTS C. BOWEN.
NOTICE.
The attention: rof Executors, Administrators, Legatee?, and Successors, is called to the provisions of the Stamp Duties Act, 1866, which requirs :r— 1. That Executors and Administratprs shall, in the case of all legacies, annuities, or residues - paid by them, furnisli to .the Stamp Office foil accountß of .such payments, and shall pay the duty assessed thereon within sixty days thereafter ; and in the case of legacies, annuities, or residues retained in trust, shall, before any such retainer, furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and shall' pay i the 'dyty} aßses's'od thereon within fourteen days of such assessment} and shall furnish accounts of all successions under any .will or estate-executed or administered by them, so soou as the Buceessoi' shall become beneficially entitled thereto.
; 2. That Legatees-receiving legacies shall giro receipts in the prescribed form, wbich receipts must bear date on the diy of signing, and must be brought to the Stamp Office to be* stamped* iwithin -sixty days; thereafter; otherwise such receipts become invalid. 3.
