Wellington, April" 26, 1875. - THE fallowing Notice under, the Stamp ■ Duties Aot, which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 13th May,-1969, is: republished for general information:— • • •" • • ' CHABiia 0. Bowbit, ■ . 'NOT ICE.. : The attention of Executors, Administrators, Legatees, ■ and Successors/ is .called to tho precisions of' the Stamp Duties Act, 1866, which requirfl :—."•.'. 1. That Executors and Administrators shall, in tho case of all legacies, annuities, or residues. paid by them, furnish to the Stamp Office full accounts of such payments, and shall pay the duty assessed thereon within sixty days thereafter ; and in the case of legacies, annuities, or residues retained in trust, shall, before any such retainer, furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and shall pay the duty .assessed thereon within fourteen days "of such assessment; and shall furnish accouots of.-all successions under any will or estate executed or administered by them, so soon as the successor shall become beneficially entitled thereto. • .
2. That Legatees receiving legacies shall . giro receipts in the prescribed form, which receipts must bear date on the diy of signing, and must be brought to tho Stamp Office to be stamped within sixty - days thereafter, otherwise such receipts become invalid. 3. Thkb every Successor to real or personal estate, as soen as he, or any other person in his behalf,' shall - become -entitled thereto in possession, or to the.receipt of the income and profit thereof, Bhall furnish to. the.
