A slight fire occurred at the Bright Smile works last night at a late hour. It appears that a fire was lit in the small boiler which has for some time been out of use, and the chimney (a small iron one) being foul, the soot caught fire, and burded till it was consnmed. For a few minutes the vicinity was lighted by the blaze, which attracted the attention of Mr Binney, the company's manager, and he at once took the necessary steps to smother the fire. i-
