NOTICE UNDER.STAMP DUTIES ACT. Office of tho Commissioner of Stamp Duties, Wellington, April 26,1875. THE following Notice under tho Stamp Duties Act, which appeared in the Now Zealand Gazette of 13fch May, 1869, is republished for general information :— Ciiabx/fs C. BowjeN. N O T~I C E. ■ The attention of Exeoutors, Administrators, Legatees, and Successors, is called to the provisions of the Stamp Duties Act, 1866, which require:— 1. That Executors and .Administrators shall, in the case of all legacies, annuities, or residues paid by them, furnish to the Stamp Offico full accounts of euch pajments, and shall pay the duty nsseesed thereon •within sixty days thereafter ; and in tbo case of legacies, annuities, or residues retained in trush, shall, before any such retainer, furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and shjl pay tho duty assessed -thereon within fourteen dajß of Buch assessment} and shall furnish accounts of all successions under any will orestato executed or administered by them, bo soon as tho successor shall becomo beneficially entitled thereto. 2. That Legatees receiving legacies shall give repeipts in the prescribed form, which receipts mu*t bear date on the cUy of signing, and must be brought to the Stamp Office to be etnmped within sixty days thereafter, otherwise such receipts become invalid. 3. Thit every Successor to real or personal estate, as to&n as he, or any other person in his behalf, shall become entitled thereto in possession, or to the receipt of the income and profit there:f, shall furnish to the Commissioners full and truo accounts of the property sucpepded, to, with the ranio of and their relationship to the predecessor.
