AUCKLAND.
This day. Arrival of the Rosario. Arrived : H.M.S. Eosario. While on tho voyage home, when s.'xty miles southeast of the Three Kings, the Eosario was struck by a tremendous squall from the north-east, to which point the gale suddenly went round. The force took tier and almost threw her on to her "beam ends. All the topgallant masts pave way. The ship righted with the loss of her jib, flying jibboom ; fore, main, and mizzen top gallant masts; main yard and spanker gaff. The topgallant sails, xnizzen topsail, and several other sails were blown clean away. The Captain- and officers report the- squall as • the most severe ever: experienced. At daylight the ship looked a perfect wreck —the canvass hanging in; shreds,, broken masts and rigging itrewed all over the ship. She shaped her course for Auckland to j refit. Other Arrivals.
