Warden's Court, Ohinemuri.

This was a claim fer the forfeiture of a share in a claim known as the Treaty o' Waitaugi, situated on the Ohinemuri Eiver, defendant having failed to boaa fide and continuously work the same according to the regulations made and provided under the Goldfields Act, 1866, for the Ohinemuri Goldfield. No appearance of defendant. The summons had been served upon him 'personally. Williaa Dodd deposed—That he was a miner, residing at Ohinemuri. Had miner s right No. 799 (produced). Knew the Treaty o' Waitangi claim. The d«. fendant was a shareholder in that claim. It had not been worked by himself or any one on his behalf since the 20th of "March last. The case was adjourned till Friday, the 23rd, for the. production of further cvi- : dence, plaintiff having neglected to secure his witnesses. BLAIN V. HENfiY BEDDELL. The plaint in this case was for forfeiture of a Full share in the No.. 2 South, on the Karangahake. There being no appearance of either - party, the case was struck out. JOHN BATES V. JOHN HABT. Claim—Forfeiture of a share in the" claim known as the~ Scramble, situated " on the Karangahake, defendant have neglected to continuously work the same. No appearance of either party.. Case •struck out. ' ■ - ( "' : SCOTT HUNTER V. JOSEPH EDGimiLL. Claim—Forfeiture of a full share in the Scramble Claim. No appearance of either party. Caie struck out.
In the above cases the absentees were mostly departures for the new, field at Tairua.
