Thb s.s. Taranaki arrived in the Manukau from Southern ports at 10 a.m, to-day. She brings the Auckland and Thames portions of the English Suez Mail. The Thames portion will not likely be delivered until to-morrow, as the hour of the Taranaki's arrival would preclude the possibility of its being forwarded hj to-day's boat. His Excellency the Governor and Lady Normanby are at present on a visit to Canterbury, having arrivad yesterday. They received a right loyal reception at Lyttelton and Christchurch.
