THE KURANUI.
The tributers in the above mine completed a crushing of about 34 tons at the Prince Alfred battery yesterday, and retorting took place last night. The result was 77 ozs. 16 dwts. of gold, which when melted was reduced to 75 ozs. 17 dwts. The gold in this mine is not, generally speaking, of good value, seldon fetching above £2 7s an ounce, while it has been bo poor as to fetch only £1 19s. The tributary are Messrs James and Jenkins, who once held separate tributes, but have since amalgamated, the percentage obtained by both parties being the same.
