RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THIS DAY. (Before H. C. Lawlor and E. W. Puckey, Esqs., J.'sP.) DBUNKEtfNESS. Richard Cotter was charged with having been drunk and disorderly in Grey street, Shdrtland, on the 29th, inst. He was on bail, and making no appearance, forfeited the amount. R. White was charged with a similar offence, and being on bail, forfeited the amount. ONE COW AT LA.BGE. ' G eorge Wilson was charged, on remand from yesterday, with having permitted a cow to wander at large on the 26th inst., the same being a breach of Bye-law No. 3. (Cow impounded.) Fined 2s 6d and costs. A GOAT AND A KID. David Henderson was charged with allowing one goat and One kid to wander at large on the 24th inst. Defendant said the goats did not belong to him. The kid belonged to his son, who was sick with the measles.
Thomas Henry Brown, pound-keeper, was called to give evidence, when defendant said he would plead guilty if there was "to be any bother about it." Fined 2s and costs. The Court adjourned.
