£ performance of an attractive character is announced lo be given this evening, in the Academy of Music, under tlio patronage* of the Borough Fire Brigade. The entertainment is in aid of the funds of Thames Hospital, "and should* for this reason alone, draw a crowded house ; but an excellent" programme has been- pro^ vided, comprising athletic performances by well-known amateur gymnasts ; wellselected songs, both sentimental and comic; and negro eccentricities It being now some time since any entertainment of the kind has been set before the public, the Academy will, no 'doubt, be well patronised this evening.
