In order to give full report of the pro eeedinga at the enquiry in the Warden's Court Ohinemuri, re the Prospectors claim, ©r Reserve A, and news from the district, several matter?, including correspondence are crowded out of the present issue. Theeb -were four drunkards before the Eeiident Magistrate's Court this morning, one of whom was charged with Tagrancy, and sentenced to 's£Hmo' months' imprisonment, with hard labor.--. A UTtmeer of minerp^ including most of those who came to the Thames on Saturday, returned to Ohinemuri this morning. The old Thames favorite, Mr J. L. Hall, appears to have become a favorite in London, amply sustaining the reputation acquired by him in the Colonies and the English Provinces as a sterling actor. At St. James* theatre he has been playing with success in a piece " Eclipsing the ;Son," receiving honorable mention at the hands of the metropolitan critics. Mr Hall has also been playing at the Holborn. , ; \ We are glad to notice that St Patrick's Day* 1875, will not ba allowed to. pass over without some celebration. The comfortable and commodious steam boat Takapuna is announced to make an excursion te Ohinemuri on Wednesday, 17th instant, leaving Grahamstown Wharf at 10.30 o'clock, and leav/ng at a time for a convenient return. Return tickets will be issued at the low rate of four fhillings —half price for children. The beautiful river scenery and local attractions of Obinemuri should induce a large number to take advantage of .this exqur»ion, as the Takapuna is admirably adapted for >uch a trip.
