JIMMY EAE'S COMPLAINT. SUMMONS TO THE DEFENDANT UPON AN INFORMATION OR COMPLAINT. To Ghakees Feathehstone Mitchell, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of Mew Zealand. • WHEREAS complaint has been made before the undersigned, one of Her ' Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the Coloay of New Zealand, for that you Charles Featherstone Mitchell, on the 2nd day of February, 1875, at Ohinemuri, in the Colony aforesaid, did unlawfully threaten.to burn the house of one James Bae, situate at Ohinemuri, and the said James Bae hath just cause to fear, and does fear, that you, the^said Charles Featherstone Mitchell, will burn the housa of the said James Bae. And, therefore, the eaid James Bae prays that you, the said Charles Featherstone Mitchell, may be required to find sufficient sureties to keep the peace and be of good behaviour towaids him. And the said James Bae also saith that he doth not make this complaint against nor require such sureties from you, the said Charles Featherstone Mitchell, from any hatred, malice, or ill will, but merely for the preservation of his property from injury : This is to command you to appear on Saturday, the 6th day of February, 1875, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Bhortland, before such Justices of the Peace as may then be there, to answer to the said Complaint, and to be further dealt with according to law, Given under ray hand this 4th day cf February, 1875, at Sborclaiiu, ia the Province aforesaid.
