Poet Chalmers, This day
The Margaret Galbraith and passengers are at the quarantine station. After the clothes are washed they will be released. The ship will also be fumigated and released. 122 passengers.
Dunedin, This day. Mr J. C. Brown, M.H.R., who is. on a visit to the Palmer diggings, telegraphs to Lawrence per Omeo that there is much sickness and numbers dying on the diggings. Many are returning. No fresh discoveries. He cautions people against going.
