The Golden Belt, it is rumourec!, has a good find. It is correct that there is a good show of gold in the leader. Another reported find in the Tiki district;, but kept quiet untiL the ground is secured.
The Plutus battery was visited yesterday by Wilson, director; reports all working right—stuff shaping well. • From Whangapoua, the Fanny, loaded with timber, left yesterday. There is a great scarcity of hands at present. Some hundred men are required.
At Cabbage Bay a quantity of logs were rafted to the mill. Hands also scarce.
The New Green Harp commenced carting stone to Tokatea saddle to-day.
