At a meeting of the Jockey Club, held last night, it was resolved to hold an autumn meeting on the Hutt Park course, consisting of four races, viz.: Grand Stand Stakes, £60; Autumn Handicap, £75; Flying Stakes, £40; and a Hack Race. The races to come off about ten days after the Canterbury Autumn meeting. '■' ■ ; Eunedin, This day.; John Hartley, who. was knocked down by a broken lamp-post when trying to stop a run-a-way horse, on Saturday, died 'in the hospital yesterdays Concussion of the brain was the cause of death. The other man who was injured is almost entirely recovered. : ;' ,
