The contractors have satisfactorily completed their agreement, namely driving'lQO feet on the 224 feet level. The country is hard, but is reported to be favorable to the presence of a gold-bear-ing reef. It is proposed to continue this driving, and as the work will at least open up the mine, and probably be productive of good results, the very best manner in which the directors 'can show their zeal and ability is to proceed with a work.now well begun.
