FROM CORRESPONDENTS.
Cokomandel, This day. Very few people here are keeping holiday. Stoping is going on successfully in Quinton's niine, Waikoromiko. Some of the stone is exceedingly rich. A trial will be made at both banks of stone from the East London lode, struck on Friday last, with a good show. Prescott and party struck a lode in the upper portion of Paul's Creek, and got eight ounces of gold from a small parcel of picked stone. Gold has been traced a quarter of a mile along this lode. Tokatea is looking well for a good fortnightly in December. Snowden's claim, Waifeoromilco, now first come into notice, is situated between Plutus and New Green Harp. Results very gratifying to Snowden. 34^ ounces of gold—and some of the pieces being solid gold and orer six ounces weight; others weighing from •§■ ounce to 2 ounces each. One dish rubble from the, lode when washed gave 10 ounces, another 6 ounces. First Coromandel cricket match came off on Saturday last.
