Auckland, This day. The Waitangi has arrived from London with 400 Government immigrants, all well. She had a protracted voyage of 111 days from London ; 92 days from land to land. Eleven deaths—children, of various children's complaints.
Constabulary have been despatched to the Quarantine Station this morning*to check insubordination among the Hydaspes' immigrants. Later accounts from the Island state that the reported resistance of authority has been greatly exaggerated.
Wellington, This day. A Gazette notice intimates that tho Hon. Mr Reynolds has charge of the administration of the Naval Training Schools Act.
The Ladybird sails early this afternoon for the North, via., Picton and Nelson, with the 'Frisco wails. Expected, to reach the Manakau in time, to tranship to Mikado at Auckland.
Consequent upon the rapidly increasing trade upon the Foxton tramway a deputation waited upon the Minister cf Public Works representing the necessity of converting the tramway into a railway as speedily as possible, and placing two or three locomotives on. It is understood that Mr Richardson has agreed to do so.

All the immigrants lately arrived in Westland have found remunerative employment.
