THAMES SCOTTISH.

This Company met at the Kauaeranga Range on Saturday to compete for the medal, the same match to count as the final test for an aggregate prize, lately won by Captain Murray, and presented again to the Company. Tho ranges were, 200, 400, 500 and 600 yards; seven shots each, but no sighting shot. The medal was won by Sergeant Campbell with a fine score of 88 points, closely pressed by Vol. McLean 87, and Corporal McLeod 87. The aggregate prize was taken by McLean with 129 from 43 shots. The weather was fine, though hot, and with a variable wind from the Kauaeranga Gorge.

An inspection of the c»rps by Major Cooper took place the same evening, and there was a large turn out of both company and band. After inspection a committee was appointed to arrange for the anniversary picnic of the Company, to make enquiry and report on Thursday first.

Pipe-Major Fotheringham was presented with a very handsome gold Albert chain, pendant and locket, as a tokan of esteem from the members of the Scottish Company, and in appreciation of his energy and zeal in the service of the corps. At the conclusion of the presentation three cheers were heartily given for Mr. Fortheringham
