TELEGRAPH NOTICE.
The Steamer Hero is expected to leave Auckland at noon on Thursday, the 29thinstant. Telegrams for the Australian Colonies or Europe (via Java Cable) will be received at this office for transmission to Sydney up till 11 a.m. of the 29'h inst. Telegrams for any place in "Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland, will be received at this office for transmission to the — and will there be posted as an ordinary lettor freo of postage, to the address given in the message, or will be forwarded to the nearest Telegraph Station in — —- and tfflegraphed to its destination; the Australian rates being collected from the receiver. The sender will note in the instructions on the message how he wishes his message dealt . with—whether to be posted as a letter at the final port of departure in New Zealand or to be forwarded from there to the Telegraph Station at the port where the steamer is bound to, end to be telegraphed from tbenre to its final destination. . In the fii'st case, be will write in instructions, if to be treated as a letter, " To be posted;" in the latter, if to be telegraphed on arrival in Australia, ho will state in instructions " To be telegraphed." In the case of Telegrams for Tasmania and Western Auslralia, the same can only.be treated as letters, and posted as such from i the final port of departure in New Zeaknd. - Telegrams for Europo per Java Cable will be dealt with as hitherto, the full rates being prepaid by the sender.,.
