Mining Accident.

A miner named William Herk was taken to the Hospital to-day, suffering from injuries received accidentally in the Queen ©f Beauty mine. Herk was working in the'stopes at the 270 feet level, when about 12 o'clock a fall of earth took place suddenly. He extricated himself before assistance arrived, [and soon after was taken to the Hospital and attended by the House Surgeon, who was unable to discover the nature and extent of the man's injuries. Herk complained of pains about the hips, but it is hoped that the injuries he has received are not dangerous although apparently severe.
