The libel jury were discharged this morning.

Mr. .Firth, the foreman, said he saw from the morning papers that it was reported he had said the majority were in favour of bringing it in libel. This was not so.

It is understood that the numbers were four for guilty, and eight for not guilty.

The foreman said this morning that he was in error in his statement of yesterday that a majority of the jury considered the matter libellous.
