SCOTTISH PRIZE FIRING.
The second and final stage for the aggregate prize presented by Volunteer John' Muir to the Thames Scottish Volunteers came off on Saturday at the Kauaeranga Range. The day was very unsuitable, being wet : and stormy. The < highest scorer in Saturday's match took Captain Murray's medal, previously held by Sergeant Girvan; this was Volunteer Forgie; with an excellent score, of 46 points, at 400, 500, and 600 yards, five shots at each range, and no sighting shot. The aggregate prize was won by Captain Murray, with 94 points from 30 shots. The principal aggregate scores in the two matches are m follow :—
