ABBOTSFORD ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER.
Iho installation of officers of the above chapter took place in the Freemasons' . Hall last night—M.E. Ist Prin. MeOuU lough presiding, assisted by Comp. Siephenson from Auckland. At nine o'clock the Companions, to the number of about; thirty sat down to a banquet at th© Pacific Hotel which was provided in Host Curtis* best style. In addition to tlio toasts peculiar to the occasion the following were • done justice to : ~ Queen, and Craft, The Governor, Supreme Grand Chapter of Scotland, Provincial Grand Chapter, coupled with the name of Comp. Catdwell, Dunodin; Abbotsford Chapter, and first Ist Prin.; Absent Companions, Visiting^. Companions, Poor and Distressed Com-fT panions, and Companions' Wives aiatS. Bairns. The proceedings were enlivened and varied with songs, and altogether a pleasant evening was spent. Coropanious iStephenson and'lNlccol from Auckland were present. The health of Mr. Curtis was drunk at the close of the proceedings, great credit being accorded to him forproviding such an excellent spread, whicbl gavo tho j-reatest satisfaction to all present.
