NONPAREIL AND ITALIAN COMPANY.
A meeting of the joint directors of the companies was held last night to consider the terms of amalgamation. The Nonpareil directors offered 2,500 double shares, and the Italian Company adhered to their demand for 2,700. A further meeting is to take place when, it is hoped by the shareholders (or many of them) of both companies that an amicable arrangement for amalgamation will be come to.
