ACADEMY OF MUSIC.
The weather last night was not promia-. ing enough for many theatre goers to trust themselves from the fireside. Nevertheless there was a tolerably good attendance, and the programme afforded was such as to elicit the highest commendation from the audience. The comedy " "Nan, the good for nething" was played with admirable taste by Miss Maggie Wight, who also appeared in a Japanese impersonation with great success. A number of capital songs and dances were performed, and Mr. Johnny Gourlay added no little to the success of the entertainment by his acting as Brown the Tragedian.. Last night having been so inclement it was decided to postpone the benefit of fMiss Knight till this evening, when new attractions are! offered, and there is lively to be a bumper house.
