Borough Council Election.
The nomination of candidates to fill the, vacancies in the Borough Council, caused by the retirement of the three members polling the smallest number of votes ;at the first election, takes place to-morrow ; but in accordance with the requirements of the Act nominations have to be lodged' with the Returning Officer at or before 4 p.m. on the day preceding'the day of nomination. A great many names have been mentioned of citizens as candidate's, including the retiring members, but the intending candidates have made very little sign themselves. Possibly the interest in the election will increas eduring the few days that will elapse between the nomination and election.
