THE SHAMROCK BATTERY.
The tributers in the Shamrock claim being anxious to see how they were^ progressing, or rather' how their tribute would pay,;haf© been, by the kindness of the battery manager, allowed to put a few tons of. stuff through,, but with what result has yet to be ascertained. At the same time a small parcel of stuff from the Montgomery Brothers will be treated at the same battery, -the result yet to come to hand. There is nothing that would give me greater pleasure than to have to record that the really splendid battery belonging to the Shamrock company is in regular work ; it is a pity fo see such a plant idle when crushing power is so urgently required on the Thames, especially as the plant is so complete and- has been so little used since its removal and, completion. ; '■■%',",
