ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH.
(To the Editdr of the livening Star.)
Sib,—The concert and dance iii aid of the funds of the Bazaar to reduce the debt on this church seems to have been a. iuc« cess in a monetary point of View; consequently there must iav,e been a good . attendance, snowing to every right-think- ? ing churchman that professing Christians"" would rather pay a shilling "for""'the so called "ecclesiastical^hop" than go to their church and give the lame, amount of moaty without the degradation of, the House of God being freed from debt'by means so questionable as those •doptedr Of this I am sure, that means such~ as these receiving the "countenance of the clergyman and officers--of a church are to be deprecated, and will utimately be felt. This is my last letter hereon; sorry am I to have been obliged to expose such practices,—l am &c, A Chuechmht. -
