Cobomandel, This day. The Tokatea Company cleaned up for "the fortnight—yield, 3260z5. lOeiwts. retorted gold.
From the Union Beach it is reported that good stone, is being obtained. The, City of Auckland hare picked stone from the stopes. The Boyal Oak Company hare about 401bs. specimens for the week. Wellington, July 31. The New Zealand Steam Co.'s steamers were put up at auction at noon, in one lot. John Marten started an independent bid of £55,000, there was no other and the company bought them in at £75,000.
