THE CURE.
I was down this mine yesterday, and examined the black leader, which is still being worked on. It has increased in thickness since I last saw it, and is now, I judge, about 8 inches through, tho country changing for the better. I must confess I saw no gold in it. Few feet could possibly have been driven since I was in the mine last; I did not expect much change, neither is there. The drive in which the black leader was cut is still being carried in, and good progress has been made, although the country is very tight.
